Since 2004, Church Awakening has been a voice to pastors and churches for spiritual awakening. Through conferences, prayer gatherings, online resources, and small group curriculum, we encourage and envision pastors for personal and corporate spiritual awakening.
Alec Rowlands is Senior Pastor of Westgate Chapel, in Edmonds, Washington, a suburb of Seattle. Westgate is a non-denominational, multi-ethnic congregation experiencing spiritual renewal since 1992. Alec is also President and Founder of Church Awakening, a ministry to pastors on prayer and revival.
Alec was born and raised in a pastor’s home in South Africa, where, as a teenager, he witnessed revival in his father’s church over several years; an experience that marked his life with a hunger for prayer and the power of God to transform lives. The greatest challenge he has faced as a pastor has been the conservation of spiritual awakening in the lives of people through intentional discipleship.
Vanessa Hunt is the Executive Director of Church Awakening, and is also on pastoral staff at Westgate Chapel where she writes curriculum, teaches discipleship classes and speaks on the priority of God’s Presence, the power of prayer, and the pursuit of personal revival.
